Multiple American military aircraft sustained damage during overnight Iranian strikes on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan, according to sources with direct knowledge of the matter. Roughly eight F-15s experienced light damage and were quickly returned to service, while an A-10 Thunderbolt was struck and lost a wing. U.S. forces in Jordan launched over 30 Patriot missiles to intercept the incoming fire. The strikes followed a U.S. announcement on Tuesday confirming attacks on five Iranian tankers after Iran targeted a U.S. Navy warship. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed responsibility, stating they targeted eight tankers and two warships, alongside the Jordanian base. Meanwhile, global oil prices climbed past $100 per barrel for Brent crude, reaching a 15-week high amid severe disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz.
