Zillow records indicate the property has changed ownership multiple times recently, including a $2.14 million sale shortly after Mr. Trump assumed the presidency in 2017. That purchase was made by an entity named Trump Birth Home LLC, and the residence was briefly listed on Airbnb with accessories like a life-sized cardboard cutout of Mr. Trump, copies of his book “The Art of the Deal,” and a framed People magazine cover featuring him. The house was put on the market again in 2019 with a $2.9 million asking price, but failed to sell until Lin purchased it. During the interim period, the Post noted that the property deteriorated significantly, suffering from mold and water damage caused by a ruptured pipe, while a group of feral cats inhabited the space where Mr. Trump lived during his early childhood.
