Former Florida Rep. David Rivera, a Republican and longtime friend and former roommate of Secretary of State Marco Rubio, was sentenced Friday to 10 years in federal prison for his undisclosed role in a multimillion-dollar lobbying campaign on behalf of the Venezuelan government during the first Trump administration. Rivera has been in federal custody without bond.
