State Rep. James Talarico (D-Texas) holds a narrow two-point lead over state Attorney General Ken Paxton (R-Texas) among likely voters, according to a new Fox News poll.

The survey finds 51 percent of likely voters backing Talarico and 49 percent supporting Paxton. That two-point difference falls within the poll’s 3 percentage-point margin of error, indicating the race remains closely contested across the state.

The poll’s results underscore the competitive nature of the Senate contest in Texas as both candidates seek to energize their bases and sway undecided voters ahead of Election Day. Campaign activity and turnout efforts are expected to play a decisive role in such a tight matchup.

With the margin inside the poll’s error range, the race could shift in the coming weeks as new information, advertising, and voter mobilization efforts reach the electorate.
