Kansas Democratic Senate nominee Adam Hamilton on Thursday said he does not want former Vice President Kamala Harris to campaign with him ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.
Appearing on Politico’s “The Conversation,” Hamilton discussed which national Democrats he would be willing to share the campaign trail with. He addressed his prior hesitancy around Harris and made clear his current position.
“Please, no,” Hamilton said when asked about the possibility of Harris campaigning with him.
The comments come as Democrats prepare for competitive 2026 Senate races, with national figures weighing in on behalf of nominees in key states. Hamilton, the party’s nominee in Kansas, has been outlining his campaign strategy and choices about national surrogates as he seeks to build support in a traditionally Republican state.
Hamilton’s remarks were first reported by The Hill.
