President Trump joined a Friday video call with leaders of the Group of Seven (G7) nations and the International Energy Agency (IEA), but kept his camera off while other leaders appeared on screen.

Fatih Birol, executive director of the IEA, said in a post on the social platform X that the participants met to discuss an oil market stabilization plan. Details of the discussion beyond that statement were not provided in Birol’s post.

The Hill reported the meeting and noted Trump’s decision to remain off-camera during the call, a contrast to other leaders who were visible during the virtual session.
