Quebec election: Voters head to the polls today

Voters across Quebec are heading to the polls today to choose their next provincial government following weeks of an intense campaign. The race has been heavily dominated by discussions surrounding the economy and the possibility of a future referendum. To form a majority government in the 127-seat National Assembly of Quebec, one of the five main political parties must secure at least 64 seats. Polling stations across the province are scheduled to close at 8 p.m. ET. CBC News is providing comprehensive coverage of the event, with live updates available online, on television, and through radio broadcasts starting at 7:30 p.m. ET. Viewers and listeners can tune into CBC TV, CBC News Network, and CBC Radio One for up-to-the-minute results, expert analysis, and behind-the-scenes reporting from all major party headquarters as the election night unfolds.
