While Brazil’s public healthcare system provides free access to life-saving antiretroviral drugs, hurdles such as late-stage diagnoses, treatment dropouts, and social prejudice continue to hinder public health goals. Advocates emphasize that overcoming stigma, improving education, and fostering open discussions are essential if new medical innovations are to effectively end the HIV epidemic.
