Palestine Action activists threatened security staff with whips, hammers and kebab skewers during a coordinated break-in at an Elbit Systems factory near Bristol, a court heard.
Prosecutors told the court that five defendants are accused of forming a “black team” whose purpose was to confront and overwhelm security guards at the Israel-linked arms manufacturer’s Filton site. The black team, the court was told, wore black jumpsuits and kept guards at bay while a separate “red team” in red jumpsuits entered the factory to damage equipment, including drones.
The allegations were set out in legal proceedings brought over the incident. Further details of the defendants’ actions and the evidence against them were presented to the court during the hearing.
