Minnesota churches face legal fights over ICE surveillance

Court cases involving Twin Cities churches and immigration enforcement have highlighted how the acrimonious debate continues to roil faith communities. The disputes reflect concerns about ICE surveillance and the right to protest.

Those legal battles come more than six months after a federal surge turned Minnesota into a symbol of defiance of the Trump administration’s policies.
